Daina won a lot as a puppy, his record was
· 12 Best puppy in breed
· 1 Specialty Best puppy at the Ont Sighthound Spec under Carol Reisman
· 1 Spec BOS in Sweeps at the Can Nat Spec under Mrs Jane Jantos
Shown sparingly as an adult he did some nice winning, his record follows:
· 2 All Breed Best in Shows
· 1 Specialty Best in Show (Montreal Island) under Mrs Lynn Schanzle
· 1 Specialty BB at the Ont Sighthound Spec under Mr Desmond Murphy
Daina finished his American championship with 2 majors, 1 5pt major the day after the American Nat in Oklahoma City under Mrs Betsy Prior and 1 4pt major the day after the AHC of Southwestern Ohio under Mrs Betty Stites.
Daina was a tall, heavily coated self masked Cream brindle but appeared to be cream as his stripes faded out as he grew. He was a beautiful dog but was never used for breeding.
SBIS Am Can Ch Obiwan’s A Summer Storm (1979)

Soffie was an incredibly beautiful, femine bitch that was loved by all who seen her. She was a standard sized self-masked cream with a lovely paterned coat that only enhanced her beautiful features. She is the only Canadian bred bitch (that we know of) to ever win an American Specialty BIS from the classes (over 15 Am Specials) under Mr Scott
Parsons. We co-owned Soffie and never kept complete records of her show wins but some highlights are:
· 1 All Breed Best in Match
· several BB and Group placements in both Can and the US
· 1 SBIS at the Afghan Hound Club of SW Ohio (5 pts) under Mr Scott Parsons
· 2 4pt majors under Mrs Lynn Schanzle and Mrs Carol Duffy
· 1 SBOS at the Ont Sighthound Spec under Mr Desmond Murphy
Am Can Ch Obiwan’s Designer Original (1983)

Zhanna was a beautiful bitch who finished easily under breeder judges, she won 4 US majors including a Specialty BOS from the classes in Florida under Glorvina Schwartz. She was retired after finishing and unfortunately was never bred. She also won a
Specialty Best in Sweepstakes under Gill Ullom.
BIS SBOB Can Am Ch Obiwan’s Nimbic Steele (1982)

Otis was a once in a lifetime dog, very standard sized, an exciting and dynamic dog that always gave more than he was asked for as a show dog and as a companion. Not heavily campaigned he had an impressive career, some highlights are:
· 51 Best of Breeds
· 3 All Breed Best in Shows
· 1 SBOB at the Ont Sighthound Spec under Sandy Frei
· 1 Af Spec BOS under Mrs Rhoda Winter Russell
· 2 Spec Majors under Dr Gerda Kennedy and Mr Joe Colantonio
· in the Top 10 Afghans in Canada for 5 years in a row.
· Only used once at stud he produced a BIS winning son
BIS Can Am Ch Obiwan Odyssey (1980)

Cassius was an exciting and athletic young dog with a promising career that was cut short when he blew all his coat after being xrayed. He still had some impressive wins and was used at stud once which resulted in 3 Canadian and 1 Am Champion. Highlights of his shows are:
· 1 All Breed Best In Show
· 3 US majors including a BB and Group 4 from the classes
· 1 Spec Best in Sweeps at the Canadain National Specialty
BIS Can Am Ch Obiwan’s Doubletalk (1985)

Strut was a beautiful moving dog, sound with wide open side gait. He was leggy, had a long neck and a lovely coat. He looked tall but measured in at just under 28”. He finished both championships very quickly with all major wins. We were approached by a prominent American to sell him and because we were still showing his father we decided to co-own him. He had some nice wins while being shown in the US but was returned to us in deplorable conditon after 1 year. It took another year to get him back in show condition after which he had some nice wins, highlights are:
· 5pt BW Specialty major (Chicago the day after the National) June Penta
· 5pt BW Specialty major (Finger Lakes) Joe Inguaggiato
· 4pt BW major the day after the Mid West Specialty – Lynn Schanzle
· several BB and Group placements while in the US
· 15 Group placements out of 18 breeds the one year shown in Canada
· 2 All Breed Best in Shows.
· Sired 1 litter with 3 champions

Lilith was a fantastic show girl, an ultra feminine self-masked cream with a glorious coat, always up and showing. She drew a crowd where ever she went and was the most spectator photographed dog. She had a fantastic show career and also proved the old saying that a show bitch won’t make a good brood bitch wrong as she produced 2 beautiful litters after her retirement. When she was just starting out we were approached by Christopher Coulter to sell her and we decided to form a partnership which has lasted for many years. To this day our good friend Chris still co-owns and co-breeds with us. Highlights of her career are:
· 7 All Breed Best in Shows
· 2 Best Puppy in Shows
· 103 Best of Breeds which resulted in 50 Group 1st’s , (almost 50 % of the time she won a breed she won the Group)
· 18 Group 2nd’s, 14 Group 3rd’s, 6 Group 4th’s

Kaos was an extremely beautiful honey brindle male, co-owned with Jim and Helen Williams. He had a limited show career but was appreciated by breeders and all rounders, finishing his American championship in 11 shows with 3 majors.

Kirby like his brother Kaos and his sister Lilith was an extremely handsome dog. He had an extremely beautiful head. He was owned by Sylvia Fiestel and had some nice wins enroute to his Canadian and American Championships. He finished his Can title from the puppy classes with several breeds and Group placements.

Hannah possessed classic beauty and breed type. A Specialty BIS winner in Canada she finished her Am Championship with majors under breeder judges. Unfortunately she was never bred .

Summer is an incredible beauty, totally afghan in mind and body. She has be recognized by breeders and all round judges, winning several major awards with very limited showing. She still loves to strut her stuff even as a veteran. She was bred once and produced a beautiful litter that is just now following in her footsteps and being recognized with some significant awards. Summer is co-owned and lives with our good friend Michael Graat. Some of her career highlights are:

Gypsy had a unfortunate accident as a puppy and lost the last 4 inches of her tail. When shown as a adult she finished her championships in both Canada and the US quickly in spite of her short tail. She is a beautiful red brindle with lovely open and sound movement.

Dillon is a very standard sized handsome boy. He was owner-handled to both his Championships by Sharon Bishop. Dillon has had some very nice wins for his mom, being recognized by breeders and all rounders. He has been used twice for breeding and has produced exceptional puppies. He is the father of our beautiful litter out of Summer.

Isis is a lovely clear blue female of correct size. Owned by Nancy Miller , Isis was her 1st show dog and she proudly owner-handled her to her Am Championship. She is a sister to Ch’s Reuben, Whitney and Dillon.

Reuben has been a wonderful show dog and companion, a square leggy dog that covers a lot of ground he has been rewarded by Breeders and All Round Judges. Never heavily shown he has had some memorable wins:

· Spec Best of Breed at the Southern Counties Hound Assoc.
· Spec Best of Breed at the Ont. Gazehound Assoc
